A night of music beneath the stars in Gladstone with Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
As evening settles over the Gladstone Marina, a symphony of music will rise into the night sky. Join Queensland Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of live orchestral music under the stars, where passion, power, and beauty come together in this spectacular free community concert.
Led by conductor Tianyi Lu, this concert opens with two commanding fanfares: Copland’s iconic tribute to the common man, and Joan Tower’s powerful counterpoint for the uncommon woman.
Chausson’s Poème follows unfolding in a single arc of introspective beauty, showcasing the expressive talent of Associate Concertmaster Glenn Christensen on solo violin.
From there, we enter the rich world of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. You’ll hear selections from all four acts from the sweeping dances and tender scenes to the dramatic character pieces.
Wild Street Taste, POPa'Licious, Dutch House, We R Woodfire Pizzas, No Forks Given and Ri Ri's Food Van will be on-site from 5:30pm to curb your Friday night food cravings. Show starts at 7pm.
Pack a picnic, bring your family and friends, and be swept away by the magic of Queensland Symphony Orchestra in the heart of Gladstone.
Don’t miss this extraordinary night of music beneath the stars!
